Just three things today:
First, a poll that came out today
indicates that Canadians have become
less tolerant of minority immigrants
over the last two years despite an
increase in personal and national
economic well-being.
The poll, conducted by Ekos Research
Associates under a contract by
Citizenship and Immigration, found that
27% of respondents believe that too many
visible minorities are being let into
the country. The poll suggests an
increase on intolerance of 5 percent, up
from 22% from 1998.
The report suggests that there a
trend exists that counters recent
theories on intolerance. Such theories
maintain that intolerance by a populace
has a negative correlation to economic
well-being – that is, as the economy
increases, levels of intolerance go
down. But, in recent years, the Canadian
economy has been doing extremely well,
thus baffling experts as to the rise in
anti-minority sentiment.
The report suggests that the increase
in intolerance may be related to the
arrival of Chinese migrants on the West
-coast last summer.
The poll also indicates that 48% of
Canadians believe there are too many
refugees coming to Canada. 56% of the
respondents stated that they believe the
immigration system is too lax and 57% of
the people surveyed are dissatisfied
with the handling of the immigration
system by the federal government
Last year, Canada’s target for
refugee entrance was 29,300, but had
only succeeded in admitting 21,900
refugees.
Second – an investigative article
in the K-W record indicates that several
former German WWII veterans were not
asked about their involvement in the
German armed forces upon their
application to become Canadian
immigrants during the 1950s.
I was recently discovered that six
former German soldiers were not asked
about their war-time activities when
they applied to come to Canada. The
investigation lends credibility to
Helmut Oberlander’s story that he was
not asked about his service record by
immigration officials – a story that
was questioned in a recent court case
ruling that Oberlander has lied during
the immigration process.
Third, I wanted to let everyone know
about an almost free offer for WP CDs
from the United States. I recently got a
few, and for the price, you can’t go
wrong – all I paid was shipping and
handling which was about $15.00 US.

Here is an excerpt from an article I
picked up on the NSNEWS network. It is
obviously from a left-wing perspective,
but it is information nonetheless.
LYRICS OF HATE White power winning
ears with pop rock from The Christian
Science Monitor http://www.csmonitor.com
March 8th 2000 by Brad Knickerbocker (bradknick@aol.com)
Special correspondent of The Christian
Science Monitor
The sound is that of most other pop
music - straight rock, heavy metal, folk
ballads. But listen carefully, and the
words can be disturbing, even shocking.
Race war is advocated. Germany's Third
Reich is glorified. Blacks and Jews are
denigrated, sometimes targeted for
violence and destruction. It's called
"white-power music," played by
bands with names like "Blue Eyed
Devils," "Plunder &
Pillage," "Bound for
Glory," "Skrewdriver,"
and "Rahowa" (the acronym for
"racial holy war"). As it
gains in popularity and acceptance,
human rights advocates warn that it is
infiltrating mainstream youth culture as
a recruiting tool for white supremacist
and other hate groups.
"This is a movement that has
grown from a few bands in the late 1980s
to over 100 bands in the United States
today, a movement that has grown from a
handful of labels and distributors to
over 50 in the US right now, and it has
been able to move closer and closer to
the mainstream," says Devin
Burghart of the Center for New
Community, a faith-based human rights
organization in Chicago.
Much of the activity is here in the
Pacific Northwest, says Randy Blazak, a
sociologist at Portland State University
in Oregon who studies hate groups. But
it is spreading throughout the country.
A concert this weekend in Michigan
features three such bands. Five other
white-power bands will play in Texas the
following weekend.
Filling the jukebox One particularly
significant development, observers say,
is the recent acquisition of Resistance
Records and its affiliated white-power
music magazine by William Pierce, head
of the National Alliance. The West
Virginia-based organization, perhaps the
most powerful and active white
supremacist group in the country,
expects to sell at least 50,000 CDs this
year, which will raise money for its
cause as well as draw potential recruits
among young listeners.
"Young people are not as
interested with the details of ideology
as they are with the resistance
music," says Dr. Pierce, who taught
physics at Oregon State University in
the 1960s. (Pierce is better known for
writing "The Turner Diaries,"
a futuristic novel about race war
thought to have inspired Oklahoma City
bomber Timothy McVeigh.) "It's not
my music - I'm limited in my musical
taste to classical music - but the fact
is, whether we approve of it or not, two
generations of Americans have been
raised primarily on rock," says
Pierce in an interview. "So if you
want to speak to them in a musical
language they are familiar with, it is
rock. It is not Mozart, it is not
Beethoven, it is the Midtown Boot
Boys."
The current issue of Pierce's
"Resistance" magazine includes
interviews with "Angry Aryans"
and other white-power bands... [article
